What we found
Rewording removes word-pattern watermarks such as Google’s SynthID-Text. Feedough AI does it, not ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini.
What we found
The ChatGPT Watermark Remover above is ready to use. Drop a ChatGPT image into the Image tab to remove the OpenAI labels it carries. Paste ChatGPT text into the Text tab to strip the hidden characters that ride along with copied answers.
What Does The ChatGPT Watermark Remover Remove?
OpenAI says its images carry two things: C2PA Content Credentials in the file, and a SynthID mark in the pixels. The tool removes the C2PA part in your browser, with the pixels left identical. For the pixel mark, log in and tick the Invisible pixel watermark row: the image is regenerated to break it, best-effort.
On text, the tool strips the hidden characters ChatGPT adds to copied answers: private-use citation markers, zero-width characters, invisible tag characters, stray variation selectors, direction marks, soft hyphens and unusual spaces. Cyrillic or Greek look-alike letters inside English words are swapped back to Latin.
How To Use It
Step 1: Drop The Image Or Paste The Text
Drop a ChatGPT image into the box, paste it with Ctrl+V, or choose it from your computer. For text, paste it into the Text tab and press Remove watermark.
Step 2: Read The Checklist
The “What we found” list names OpenAI as the maker when the file says so, and shows each block removed. Optional rows have a box you tick.
Step 3: Download Or Copy
Download the clean image, or copy the clean text. Nothing a visitor sends is stored.
What Stays
Emoji, flags, and the joining characters Hindi and Arabic need are kept. So are right-to-left marks in Hebrew and Arabic. The checklist gives a count for each kind it found.
One thing to keep straight: these characters are not an official OpenAI text watermark. OpenAI’s docs list no public text signal, and text verification is limited to approved groups.
